Did any member of this list ever manage to correctly *print* pages
containing mathml, in Linux, with any Mozilla variant?

I am sorry, I did not ask about what people heard, but about what
they did. So again: did any member of this list ever manage to
correctly *print* pages containing mathml, in Linux, with any
Mozilla variant?

If you use the latest Firefox 1.5 with Pango text rendering enabled
(unset MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO) AND my Firefox+Pango printing patch from here:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357733

You can view and print MathML in Linux.

behdad, hoping that his message makes it to the list.

Fantastic news. I wonder why this has not been applied to the
standard versions yet.

But.. how do I apply this patch? I presume this would involve
compiling Firefox from source? Not task I look forward to with
pleasure.. Is a patched binary available somewhere?

I finally managed to get a firefox incorporating your patch to
work on Debian (I borrowed it from FC6). I am very impressed. Now,
for the first time, both MATHML *and* Indic scripts can be
displayed *and printed* from Linux. Congratulations on a very good
piece of work.

I wrote about it on my page:

http://www.jw-stumpel.nl/stestu#T9.3

I hope other distros (in particular Debian) will soon follow
Fedora's example in applying your patch.

Regards, Jan
